Mother’s Day Polo in the Park

Polo made a triumphant return to San Antonio, with the club hosting the first polo game at Olmos Basin Park in about 40 years on May 11, 2014. Our Mother’s Day Polo in the Park event was a huge success for the over 400 people who attended. Ferrari and The Palm sponsored an exciting polo match between players from San Antonio, Houston and College Station. There was delicious food and a silent auction in the V.I.P. tent offered by Tejas Rodeo Steakhouse, and Republic Liquors. The day was especially wonderful for foster children at Roy Maas Meadowlands who are learning the sport courtesy of sponsors such as Lewis Energy Group and Will Smith Foundation. The kids showed off their newly learned polo skills and certainly impressed the crowd!

The day would not have been possible without the hard work of our dedicated committee members & volunteers. Bravo! YOU made the day what it was! Thank you to all of the players, volunteers, chefs, workers, and guests!
